The above picture is the Newspaper Art I created.

(FYI I know you’re not meant to incorporate other artist works in your own but this was made as a gift)

This DIY craft is not originally mine. I found it on the blog “Crafted Love“.

Difficulty: Easy

Materials:

-Shredded/cut up pieces of newspaper

-Stretched Canvas or Hot Press Board (Any thick board i.e. bristol board)

-White glue mixed with water (watered down glue)

-Big paint brush (for glue)

-Paint brushed (desired depending on design)

-Acrylic Paint (any color)

-Pencil, marker or pen for transferring your design

Steps

1. Shred/cut all the necessary amount of newspaper.

2. Prepare your watered down glue. Two/three parts glue and one part water.

3. Cover your canvas or board with glue and stick newspaper bits on it. Make sure you cover all the board. Layers can be as thick as desired.

4. Add a layer of glue on the stuck on newspaper and let it dry completely.

5. Have the design you desire transferred on the board with the tool you picked.

6. Paint your design with acrylic and let dry.

After these 6 easy steps you will have your artwork completed and ready to be hung.

(This inspiring craft was found on “Crafted Love”.)
